The SSE MBA is a challenging, small and exclusive program that prepares you to take on new leadership challenges. It stands for real learning, broadened perspectives and professional development with impact. The program is ranked by the Financial Times as 1st in the Nordic and Baltic regions in 2009. Since 2001, the year the Financial Times began its Executive MBA ranking, the SSE Executive MBA has been the first in the Nordic league.

Designed for working professionals
The SSE MBA is delivered in an executive format, designed to enable working managers and professionals to combine work and studies. It gives you a chance to learn more and simultaneously apply what you learn while providing a benefit and return to your sponsoring organization. The SSE MBA is academically demanding with world-class faculty and an innovative learning environment.

A degree at Stockholm School of Economics (SSE)
The SSE MBA is an education program included in the degree regulations of SSE. The diploma and degree are awarded upon completion of the program. Since 1992 over 1,000 individuals have been awarded an MBA diploma from SSE.

SSE MBA at a Glance

• Small and exclusive with a General Management focus.
• Experienced participants (average age 39).
• Delivered in an executive format, enabling working professionals to combine work and studies on a part-time basis over two full years.
• Sixteen course weeks, adding up to a total of 80 contact days.
• Location: Stockholm, Sweden. One field trip to SSE campus in Riga or Russia and one additional international field trip.
• Conducted in English.
• One start per year in January. Application deadlines June 1, September 15 and November 15 the year before.
• TOEFL/IELTS and GMAT required.

The successful Executive MBA applicant will have a substantial experience from business, probably as a manager or in a leading position. He or she will have the energy, drive and capacity to reach higher and do more.

We work with rolling admissions, i.e. we process applications as we receive them and notify candidates shortly after.

Applicants must have:

• at least three years of full-time undergraduate studies.
• at least 5 years of professional experience.
• proficiency in English.
• sponsorship by their company.
• GMAT scores will be taken into consideration but are not required.

Candidates who do not have a sufficient academic background, but can demonstrate exceptional professional achievement and the ability to study successfully at a postgraduate level, may apply through our special admissions quota.

Upon successful completion of the program you will be granted an MBA Degree from the Stockholm School of Economics. You will also be invited to join the SSE Alumni Network.
